A hearty welcome to SanDee&amelie's challenge blog!

Please, note, that this challenge blog is not related to any business and run without any profit by people, who do this for your and their own leisure time fun! Our only reward are your encouraging comments and your playing along and sharing steampunk fun and mixed media techniques. We appreciate every single entry and comment so much! Thank you for taking the time!

If you are new to this place, please, know that we are so glad that you stopped by our little steampunk corner!
Whether you are a dedicated tag or card maker, art journaler or mixed media lover - this might be the right place for you!
For more information about the rules and the little "steampunk/industrial twist" we ask of you, please check the "about" stuff and then simply jump in and create!

If you are new to steampunk and not sure if this is "your thing", maybe take a look at our winners gallery on pinterest (use the linking button on our side bar). You will find that we're mainly a mixed media challenge blog with a little twist towards steampunk, industrial and/or vintage. So why not give it a try?

We are looking forward to seeing your fab projects entered to one of our challenges soon!

Hugs,
SanDee&amelie&the SASPC team

New Stash/Forgotten Stash - Part Two

Hi, servus and welcome back to part two of our

New Stash/Forgotten Stash

steampunk/industrial challenge! It is time for Team B to show their projects and share with us the reveal of their new or old stash they used. If you haven't already checked out the Team A makes I highly recommend you do so! And if you want to make my team really really happy, please, take a minute or two to visit their blogs and leave them a little love. ;)

Our challenge is open until the end of the month as usual. And as usual we are giving away two prize packages being generously donated by our wonderful sponsors DecoArt media and boozybear steampunk chipboard pieces. NOT USUAL is the fact that only this once you are allowed to also enter a make that dates back to January (as we are sure that you got some awesome stuff for Christmas that you already may have used on one or the other awesome steampunk or industrial project and it would be a shame to not share them with us over here).

But enough talk for now - let's take a look at the makes of Team B:

created this truly amazing steampunk doll
using new stash (her new DecoArt media products) AND forgotten stash as well
(the wooden doll frame)

went into the "SteamPINK" this month using her new Carabelle Studio
Steampunk Heart stamp and some cool Duck Tape her son gave to her as a gift. (she said that she got rather a strange look from him when she asked for Duck Tape for Christmas ;)
And last but not least she also found some forgotten boozybear chipboard pieces to use too!

Maura says: "A steampunk heart under pressure definitely needs a corset"

and I agree ;)

used an old book box alongside this fab new gentleman chipboard to
create this masterly home decor piece:

Dee

went for forgotten stash of embellishments

and new metallic pigments

and
I

- Claudia -

used my new Village Brownstone die I gave to myself for Christmas alongside
my old favourites - DecoArt Metallic Lustres - to create my "Little Metal Steampunk Home" ;)

What did you get for Christmas that you could show off with? Or did you recently find some old almost forgotten treasures on your shelves to create some fab steampunk mixed media projects with? We are soooo curious to learn about your new and old things from your stash - so play along and join in the fun!

Hugs and happy crafting!

"New Stash/Forgotten Stash" - the February Challenge at SanDee&amelie's

Hello, hi, servus and welcome (back) to our little mixed media steampunk corner in challenge blogland!

As we started off the new year with a "Best of 2016" and as I am sure that many of us got some awesome craftin' goodies for Christmas that we want to show off with, the February challenge is the perfect occasion to do so by creating something using the new "goodness". But - if you are like me - there is also some good old stash that sits in a corner on a shelf, almost forgotten, waiting for us to be used and put back to life again too....so our challenge theme for February is

New Stash/Forgotten Stash

and as always it is an "anything goes" as long as it is somehow steampunk or industrial style-ish  and follows our few and simple challenge rules.

And as I know (and have already spotted during my visits via facebook or blogger) that many of you have already created some awesome steampunk mixed media stuff in January but couldn't enter it due to the challenge theme back then I will only this once allow makes from January being entered too! But only this once!!! Simply because it would be a shame if you couldn't share them on here, right? So IF you have already used some of your new stash and created a project - share! And if you are only starting on one - share too (as soon as it is finished)! If you use just one of the two or both - new AND forgotten stash - is all up to you. But, please, name the new/forgotten stash in your posts!

January winners and Top 5 will be announced on a Monday this time as I will be away on skiing holidays - so Monday, 13th February it will be and not a Saturday as usual

My wonderful team have been very busy and creative again - so a bundle of awesome inspiration is waiting for you!!! Here we go!

received a new toy for Christmas - a button maker machine! So you can find some awesome selfmade buttons (or badges) on her lovely mixed media journal page. She once more used one of her fab Gelli plate backgrounds.

Zoja's altered calendar includes both -
new stash: new DecoArt paints, rusty embellishments, chandelier crystal and antique head;
and forgotten stash : golden dragonfly and papers.

tells us a bit about herself:
"Many, maaany years ago my crafting journey started with jewellery-making. I've recently discovered a forgotten stash of wire from back then and decided to use it as part of my background, in combination with my new stash of beautiful colors of DecoArt Misters."

received some new computer games for Christmas
and has created a book box to store them in.

and

decided to use both - new and old stash on her lovely heart wall hanging.

There will be more inspiration from Team B on the 15th as usual and you are also invited to visit the teamies' blogs to find out more about their makes and if you want to make them happy, please, leave a short comment on their blogs so they know you were there and liked what you saw! Thank you! You get to their blogs by clicking on the names.

The February challenge will - as usual - be opened until the end of the month and don't forget that you are this once allowed to enter a project that was already made and posted about in January and that fits the challenge theme! We wouldn't want to miss any of your new or forgotten treasures! ;)

Hugs and happy crafting!
